BIO 104 - Foundations of Biology I (SAW)

How do organisms survive in an ever-changing world? How can the smallest units of life carry out the dynamic functions of reproduction, transport, and development? The answers to these questions and others will be explored during this course. Students will gain an understanding of the basic biology of cells, and how the cells combine into specific forms with particular functions to create organisms that are fit for survival. Credit cannot be earned for both BIO 101 and BIO 104. 3 credits. [L] Prerequisite(s): Satisfactory high school preparation.
