ARH 320 - History of Graphic Design

This course is a survey of the history of graphic design.  It traces the development of the tools of communication with an emphasis on typography and graphics from inception of writing through to present times.  The course also covers the impact of social, political, and cultural changes on visual communication. 3 credits.
