ABA 526 - Core Skills in Autism II

This is the fourth course in the sequence of studying children with autism. In this course, you will learn about the behavioral conceptualization of behavior problems. Functional behavioral assessments will be explored and practiced, and techniques for changing various behaviors in positive (non-punitive) ways will be modeled. Various strategies, proven to be effective through valid empirical research, will be demonstrated and practiced to enhance prelearning skills (such as sitting, attending, and imitation), as well as the variety of academic areas that are taught in schools. Prerequisite(s): ABA 501
