BIO 220 - Cell Biology

This study of the cellular basis of life will include the structures/functions that all cells engage in (compartmentalize, synthesize, produce energy, move, duplicate), and some cellular specialization (plants, nerve, muscle). Laboratory experiments emphasize biophysical methods for study of mitochondria. Prerequisite(s): Take two courses from BIO-104; BIO-105; BIO-201; BIO-202 or two courses from CHM-101; CHM-102; CHM-105; CHM-111; CHM-112; CHM-122 Students also enroll in lab section.
