Quantitative Analysis Minor


In today’s world, the ability to interpret and use numeric data is a valued skilled in the marketplace. Minimum completion of 18 credits is required.

Core
Complete the following:
MAT 201 Calculus, 4 credits
MAT 220 Applied Statistics or PSY 207 Statistics with Computer Applications, 4 credits
MAT 202 Calculus II or MAT 320 Applied Statistics II, 3 or 4 credits

Mathematics or Computer Science Programming Course, 1-3 credits
Complete one of the following:
MAT 204 Programming in Maple
CSI 225 Computer Science I
CSI 226 Object Oriented Design
CSI 227 Object Oriented Programming
CSI 261 VB.NET
CSI 326 Data Structures

Mathematics Elective, 3-6 credits
Complete 1-2 MAT course(s), must be at the 200 level or above.


Minor Policy

  • Minors may be declared any time before the completion of the drop/add period in the first term of the senior year or before completion of 87 credit hours, whichever comes later.
  • Successful completion of at least a one course in the minor is a prerequisite to such declaration.
  • Only two of the required minor courses may also count toward major or another minor’s requirements.  A minimum of 12 required credits for the minor must be completed at Sage. 
  • GPA in Minor required (minimum): 2.20 or higher.
