Applied Biology (B.S.)


The Biology Department at Sage College of Albany offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Biology. This program is designed for students who enjoy biology and wish to work in a biology related field. Through coursework and internship experiences, students obtain competency in biology along with another field of their choice, which is referred to as a Companion Discipline.

Applied Biology Companion Disciplines: Art, Clinical Lab Sciences, Cytotechnology, Environmental Science, Forensic Science, Law & Society, Management, Nutrition, Occupational Therapy (3+2 or 4+2), Physical Therapy (3+3 or 4+3), Pre Medicine/Physician Assistant Preparation, Public Health, and Writing.

Note: For admission in to Sage Graduate School for Occupational Therapy (3+2 or 4+2) and Physical Therapy (3+3 or 4+3) there are specific cumulative, science and pre requisite GPA requirements.  See Catalog: Physical Therapy.
